2024 CEA Annual Conference: Creative Resilience

About

The Community Education Australia (CEA) 2024 Annual Conference took place in Sydney on October 21-23 2024.

The 2024 Conference theme was “Creative Resilience: Adapting and thriving in an uncertain world”.

CEA invited you to explore our world as we face unprecedented challenges and opportunities including the paradoxes of the existential threat of a climate crisis to the opportunities in decarbonising our economy; from the international rise in Nationalist populism to a new Internationalism in youth and social justice movements; from the critical need for foundational skills resourcing to the rise of Artificial Intelligence and the opportunities that are emerging in new and digital economies.

The 2024 Conference helped to facilitate capability and improve how we navigate this unique time, through exploration of key questions:

  • How can community education providers adapt and innovate in this complex and uncertain environment?
  • How can they leverage their creativity to meet the needs and aspirations of their learners and stakeholders?
  • How can they foster a culture of resilience that enables them to overcome difficulties and achieve goals?
