What is this session about?

This session will focus on the new governance requirements under the Outcome Standards, highlighting both strategic and operational impacts for RTOs. It will explore key areas such as leadership and accountability, the self-assurance model, risk management practices, and the fit and proper person legislation, as well as provide an overview of the Compliance Requirements document.

Participants will gain a good understanding of Quality Area 4 and develop actionable strategies to navigate governance and compliance challenges. By the end of the session, you will be equipped to implement best practices and ensure your RTO meets the evolving legislative requirements.

This session will cover:

  • Governance requirements under the new standards
  • The regulator’s risk priorities
  • Understanding who is considered a ‘governing person’
  • Risk management strategies and a model for self-assurance
  • Strategies for addressing key changes in the legislation
Who is the presenter?

Chris Enright is a highly respected leader in the Australian VET sector, with more than 18 years of experience driving excellence in quality assurance and navigating complex compliance requirements across a wide variety of training provider types. His deep understanding of the sector’s regulatory framework and operational challenges has earned him recognition as an expert and trusted advisor to education providers nationwide.
