CEA provides a variety of member services, including:

Member Networks

CEA provides diverse network and interest groups which connect both online & in-person: CEO Connect; VET Managers; Aged Care; Early Childhood; FSK; Data (CoP); LMS; Marketing; Governance; SAS Schools.

Professional Development (PD)

CEA provides a variety of professional development programs. Recent programs have included Governance; Building Capacity Online and Grant writing.

New Member Mentor Partners

New CEA members are matched to existing members to build relationships and share experiences. This creates a built-in support resource to new members and ensures their connection to other CEA members.

CEO Induction Program

CEA provides an induction and coaching program for new CEOs including a professional reading group and Psychometric Profiling to facilitate leadership and team development.

Representation and Advocacy

CEA represents its members to State and Federal Governments, industry groups and other key stakeholders. CEA has regular meetings with all stakeholders to ensure that CEA member interests are represented.

Member and Sector Communications

Relevant information is communicated to members via CEA newsletters; CEA member briefings; the CEA Member Hub (CEA online member portal).

Connection and Collaboration

CEA facilitates connections to business and industry stakeholders to facilitate collaboration on relevant projects for its members.

Governance Guidance

CEA provides resources and training in sector-specific governance best practice. Recently CEA delivered the training program Strengthening Governance: A customised series for Board Directors. This 5-module training program is available to all CEA member organisations in the CEA member Hub in perpetuity.

Member Health

CEA is committed to member health and conducts regular member site visits and facilitates online connections and events to provide support to its members. CEA is also engaged in one-to-one advocacy to advance individual member funding interests.

Business Services and Resources

CEA works with business service providers to provide access to relevant resources and partnerships for members.

Member Journey Support

CEA supports members on their journey by providing member networks, professional development, facilitating collaborations and ensuring support of new CEOs and new members.

Annual Conference

CEA delivers an annual 3-day conference event, which includes 50+ speakers, networking, learning and access to new business ideas and resources. It is the highlight event of the year for CEA and its members.

Annual Trainer and Student of the Year Awards

CEA recognizes the achievements of outstanding students and trainers in the adult and community education sector. CEA hosts an annual award presentation event at the CEA Conference Gala Dinner. The awards are sponsored by the NSW Government.

How can I become a CEA Member?

To become a CEA Member, we request that you complete our New Member Application Form. We will be in contact when we receive your form to discuss the next steps with you.

Must we meet any criteria to qualify as a CEA Member?

Yes. Your organisation must be a Not-For-Profit organisation registered with the ACNC. Your application will also be considered by the CEA Board before approval.

What is included in my Membership?

CEA membership includes quality representation and advocacy as well as a variety of Member Services including: professional development events, network groups, an online member portal, member resources, opportunities to connect and collaborate, relevant sector communications, Governance guidance and more. CEA also delivers an Annual conference (which is a paid event for all Members).

How much are the Member fees?

The CEA Membership fees are based on your organisation’s annual turnover. CEA has three tiers or levels of fees. Please contact CEA for further information regarding our fees: admin@cea.org.au.
